Our business was founded by Gavin Buckett in early 2004 (initially as a sole trader providing contracting services to other auditing and training companies) and for a short time trading as AGB Solutions Pty Ltd, before rebranding as The Gourmet Guardian in 2007.
Since this early inception, we have worked with almost every type of food business, from a single employee jam manufacturer, to mushroom farms, to central production kitchens producing 80,000 meals a week, to international hotel companies and even private islands in Fiji. We work with owners, Managers, Risk Committees and Boards of Director's that want to know the truth and want to improve on what they are already doing. Our Founder, Gavin Buckett is a Food Safety Specialist, a multiple award-winning chef, Founder and Managing Director of The Gourmet Guardian Pty Ltd, Managing Director of Prime Skills Pty Ltd, as well as the author of a food safety column for Simplot Australia’s “Food 4 Thought” Magazine, which is distributed to more than 70,000 food businesses Australia wide (recent articles are available on the Resources Page along with multiple Food Safety Information Sheets). |
